Trainees on Tour: A Look Inside Field Service at BEKO TECHNOLOGIES

What exactly does field service mean? And how does our work impact customer satisfaction? These were the questions our trainees, Melina Dani and Niklas Fuß, wanted to explore – and they got firsthand answers. Together with our Sales Engineer Philipp Albers, they experienced an exciting field service assignment that gave them a whole new perspective on the world of compressed air treatment.

Exploring Compressed Air - at the University of Wuppertal
Compressed air is everywhere – but how exactly does it work? At the University of Wuppertal, our apprentices had the opportunity to visit and analyse a station on site. From the compressor to the entire compressed air treatment system, to questions such as ‘Where does condensate actually come from?’ or ‘How much dirt is separated where – and with which product?’ – there was a lot to discover!

How Inside Sales Drives Customer Value
After the technical tour, it became clear that customer satisfaction depends not only on price and technology, but also on comfort and safety. Melina and Niklas discussed this with Philipp Albers and considered the influence of internal sales and internal services. They later presented their ideas to the technical manager of the building management team – and received confirmation that their work makes a real difference. A valuable eye-opener for both of them!

Commissioning the QWIK-PURE System
A particular highlight was the commissioning of a QWIK-PURE oil-water separator. While our service technicians laid the pipes and carried out the installation, the two of them were able to observe the entire process. Theory meets practice – and suddenly numbers and product descriptions become real technology that can be touched.

Behind the Scenes: Visiting a Distributor
Finally, the pair visited one of our distributors, where Melina and Niklas were given an exclusive tour of the workshop. They were particularly keen to ask a lot of questions, including about how the distributor works, what is particularly important to our partners and why they choose BEKO TECHNOLOGIES over the competition.

Wrapping Up: A Day Full of Valuable Insights
Melina and Niklas not only took away this day as a valuable learning experience, but also as confirmation of how exciting and diverse the world of compressed air technology can be. Their open and committed manner impressed not only us, but also our customers and partners. A special thanks goes to Philipp Albers, who took the time to make this tour so exciting, educational and varied.
