METPOINT® PRM: Sensor technology for precise pressure monitoring
The METPOINT PRM pressure measurement transformer measures the relative pressure (excess pressure) in gaseous as well as liquid media and converts this measured value into linear output signals. Pressure measurement transformers convert the physical pressure into a pressure-proportional electrical signal.
Do you need to evaluate differential or system pressures reliably?
Pressure sensors of the SP11, SP21 and SP22 series provide precise system monitoring. The measured values provide the basis for maintenance and optimisation of production facilities. The precise assignment of pressures therefore create opportunities for fact-based business-related economic decisions. Diverse interfaces enable problem-free integration into existing process control systems.
The METPOINT PRM hereby utilises thin film technology sensors. The main body and the diaphragm of a metal thin-film sensor consist of the stainless steel material 1.4548. On the membrane side aligned to the medium, insulating layers, EMS expansion measuring strips, compensation resistors and strip conductors are attached with a combination of chemical and physical methods and photo-lithographically structured by etching. The layers of created resistors and electrical strip conductors formed on the sensor are significantly smaller than a micrometer and are therefore referred to as thin-film resistors.
